Rain rain go away.....please!!!
Finished with a semester of my MBA..Now am one quarter MBA...ok, sounds cheesy...But true....
Right, getting back to business, after 4 months of hostel life, i thought home would be a welcome change. I was so wrong! Home was a disaster! It had been pouring cats, dogs and elephants in Chennai, and the worst was yet to come. Home looked like a storm had swept past it. Renovation underway and the workers absconding for 2 weeks. Roads flooded everywhere and didnt help that i knew how to swim...wading was the only way out (now i know how ducks feel). To top it all i thought having been away from home i would slightly be the center of attention. Didnt happen :(...Home camein the way. Mom took off for a couplea days. Why? to take care of the painters!
O.K, i fumed for a couplea days. Then something bad happened. My only source of entertainment, the internet conked out. Reason? the rains! What an irony! The land of no water now actually crying for the rains to stop!Even as i write its pouring as the sun shines.
In the midst of all this dad got a transfer to Vizag. Slight tensions running at home as he looks to get a change...
But must say, feels good to be back home with mom and dad and esp my bro. :)...Can't believe he was the once docile, innocent little boy . Now with a sharp tongue and standing about 5 inches taller than me, he is all but docile, innocent and little.
Life in Delhi u may ask. All i remember is the variety of vegetables we get. Potatoes, potatoes and more potatoes. Variety being potatoes and peas, potatoes and cabbage, potatoes and erm...well,can u see the pattern?
Acada have also been quite dry. Realised i cannot count for peanuts. I have so often been done for by numbers. The rest ..well, lets not talk about them.
Hostel life is a must have to be independent, financially and emotionally. Realised that i have been such a mess with my finances. All whipped into shape during the last 4 months.
What has it taught me, the last few months? That my friends and family are my biggest strength. Friends who are there when u need them and family, for the long distance "we are there right behind u". As much as i crib,I do miss home and mom and dad and my bro and ..ok will stop (coz i have no kittens and parrots :D)
Its a mixed feeling of wanting to go back to Delhi when im here and wanting to come back home when im there....Guess life has a lot of these in store for me yet...
