Chennai stint

Been in Chennai a week and half now..seems like ages!!!
An iyengar marriage coming up and every one is gearing up for that...met up at Ambica's place yesterday for a round of leg pulling and i so wish i had quite shut up for most part of the day!! One does not let go of an opportunity to tease anyone at any point in time...erm..that goes for me too :D
Had to buy my brother an application form that to be sent off to Trichy in a day...really, my mom's the most indecisive person i've ever met in my whole life!!! It takes her just seconds to change her mind! After having to pick up the form at some arbit place i didnt know (Thanx to Raghu, i would have never found it myself :P), she decided it was not good enough!! Mom!!
Wedding in two weeks. The idea of good wedding food in banana leaves is definitely a yummy idea!:d My grandfather's a pro when it comes to eating out of a banana leaf. It's truly an art ..nothing can beat the entire experience!
Not having a system that works at home is a big handicap. The inability to keep in constant touch with friends can be a major pain especially when your left out of most conversations :d...but thats just another 2 months.....so blog updates will b erratic and irregular....

Eating Sathumadhu saadham without it flowing out of the banana leaf is truly an art.

@Archstorm

Kerala was originally a part of Tam land. The Chera kingdom, which represented Kerala was originally Tam...even producing one of the greatest works of Tamizh, Silappadikkaram. Its only in the 15th-16th centuries that Mallu became a separate language.

I think banana leaves have been in use in Tam land since a really long time...much before Mallu got separated from Tam.
